Our hollow body violins and violas are acoustic instruments that preserve weight, balance, and neck shape of their traditional peers.
Their hollow body is a precision design project that acoustically responds to the interplay of the instrument’s vibrating parts: sound board, bridge, and sound post.
Their setup aims at a perfectly amplified acoustic result. For this reason we designed a specific active electronics. Our pickup and preamp, while highlighting the instrument’s acoustic qualities, are easy to use, and offer the musician control and independence from sound technicians.

Size & Weight

Our violins have the exact dimensions and weight of a traditional instrument. String length: 35.5 cm (14 in.) – Weight: 450 g (1 lbs.)

The 5-string violin has a neck section 3 mm wider than the 4-string version and the fingerboard has a tighter curve to provide better uniformity of action. The Low-C is a specially designed string supplied by Thomastik for high definition of sound.

We make viola in three different sizes: 39.5 cm (15 1/2 in.) – 40,5 cm (16 in.)- 41,5 cm (16 1/3 in.).

Over the years we have also made the following instruments:

  • 5-string
  • 6-string
  • Well-tempered (reversible, rapid lace system to have frets on an otherwise smooth and well scooped fingerboard)
